Today’s Scripture: Psalm 62:1-2 | 03/23/26

The Cross of Christ
A quote from Psalm 62:1-2 NIV displayed over a natural background with leaves and grass, emphasizing themes of faith and stability.

Greetings and God bless you! I have been quite busy with transitions. I am excited to get back to some important regular activities, like my writing. I pray you are doing well and trusting God during these chaotic times. In all that is happening, I must say, “Lord, I trust You.”

God deserves our full and undivided trust. He is worthy of all honor and glory. When we trust God, despite not having a complete understanding of what’s going on, we will not be moved. God promised salvation to those who believe in Him and He delivers on that promise. The current chaotic state of the world reminds us that we cannot depend on man. He is unable to keep us unshaken. Man does not have the power or strength, nor is he the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Psalm 5:3 – “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” How important is it to lay our petitions at the altar of the one true God. The Lord is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He is the only one who has the power and ability to do so. I learned a long time ago, God is not only able, He is willing to change our lives. However, we must understand that it is for His glory, not ours. Psalm 62:5 – “Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him.”

When we truly rest in the Lord, we know He is worthy to be praised. Psalm 18:3 – “I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.” I reflect on my life and praise Him because if it had not been for God, you wouldn’t be reading this post.

Psalm 89:26 – “He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.’” David exemplifies the walk of trust in God no matter how messy it gets. David was not perfect, David was repentant. He acknowledged his wrong as sin against God and did not seek to repeat them. His example of crying out to God also exemplifies walking in true self-awareness. Accepting the truth about ourselves is the beginning of real healing. David professed his love and trust in God. Exodus 15:2 – “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”

Be encouraged and strengthened by God’s word. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Thank you, Ed. Would you believe that I am now having difficulty posting? I have been at all morning. The irony, huh.
