I pray everyone is having a blessed Sunday. I just wanted to post a short post about gratitude. I want to thank God today for His blessings. My breath, my health, and my sanity first. I want to thank God for my family. I thank God for my grandchildren, even though they have been up since five a.m. I put this statement in because although I was frustrated earlier, I have to admit they keep me on my toes. I have much more to be grateful for, but then this wouldn’t be a short post.
My grandkids bring reminders that everyone goes through seasons of development. One is seven and the other is five. The energy is limitless; if only I could produce and bottle it. At this point, I thank God I can keep up, if only barely. As I consider the families in Texas who have lost children, it is necessary to be grateful. I didn’t have to have them with me today. The children that have transitioned leave many hurting family members. It is a somber feeling when there is no coming back from these natural disasters when you lose someone you love. Family members are angry and hurt. My prayers go up for those suffering right now under the weight of grief and loss.

Psalm 30:5 – “For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” NLT
I also pray for those who are still missing. Although knowing they are gone is not at all easy, not knowing seems even more torturous. Join me in praying for those who are hurting. Part of my prayer is that they will be comforted by the time they had together and the memories that keep them holding on.
Be blessed and encouraged, even though it may seem difficult today. But it is not impossible.
