It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you that one of our community champions and CCDG members from the very start, Khanh Pham, has passed away. I have permission to share Khanh Pham’s Memorial Page. If you plan to attend Khanh’s Funeral and Celebration of Life on July 12, please fill out the Google Doc so they know how many people to expect. Her family appreciate your support and prayers at this incredibly difficult time. No words can match the impact Khanh had on our community.

Just a few of Khanh’s many accomplishments: pharmacists having time off during lunch (legislation), finger sticks performed by pharmacists (legislation), providing free finger stick testing for hundreds of our underserved community members at pharmacies, volunteer work at the Blind Center, Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada, Advocate/Educator award recipient from Community Partners for Better Health, participation in the statewide Nevada Diabetes Council (pictured above), iDO: Improving Diabetes and Obesity statewide coalition, mentoring students and so many of us, working at the DOLC Unlimited Pharmacy www.dolcunlimited.com and many additional accomplishments! See her beautiful photo below. Khanh’s legacy and humility will live on in our hearts and spirits.

Type 1 Adult Connection Volunteering with Just One Project

• Join us for Type 1 Adult Connection – a social group for adults (18+) with type 1 diabetes (T1D)! Spend a meaningful morning with us at Kenny Guinn Middle School as we volunteer at the mobile food bank with the Just One Project. This is a great chance to give back, connect with other adults living with T1D, and be part of something impactful. Bring your friends and family – let’s make a difference together!

Type 1 Talk: Back to School

• Join us for Type 1 Talk – a community group meeting for all those affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D)! In July, we’ll be preparing for the upcoming school year with Robin Kincaid, Nevada PEP’s Director of Educational Services. Learn how to navigate 504 plans, communicate effectively with school staff, and make sure your child gets the support they need to succeed. This is your chance to gain practical tips, ask questions, get helpful resources, and connect with other families who understand the journey.
