GLORIOUS IMPACT: Biblical encouragement & edification

Encouragement, edification, and empowerment from a biblical perspective for true transformation.

Today’s Scripture

There is always help.

I pray that you are doing well today. I was doing my devotional earlier today for Today’s Scripture: Philippians 1:9-11. Paul’s prayer for the children of God, his brothers and sisters in Christ, moved me to consider again that the more I read God’s word, the simpler it gets to understand. When we live by God’s standards instead of our personal ones, we are able to finish this race.

Jesus said His grace was sufficient to strengthen us for this journey. Paul’s journey lets us know that we have what we need in Christ. God’s word is our handbook. The additional Scriptures clarified further how important it is to pray for each other and love each other. When we move by God’s premise, we leave transformation in His hands.

1 Thessalonians 3:12 – “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.”

The closer we get to God through Jesus Christ, the more we grow in love toward others when we apply the principles of love (1 Corinthians 13).

Ephesians 1:17 – “I keep asking God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.

We plant the seed for others that God may draw them into the heavenly kingdom. Jesus said, “If I be lifted, I will draw all men unto me. Spreading the good news should be our goal, as it states in Scripture.

Philippians 1:6 – “being confident of this that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Paul’s prayer for the saints was spot on. We should be growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior. Application of God’s word is guaranteed to change you. God’s word does not come back void but accomplishes what is intended.

1 Corinthians 1:8 – “He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Jesus is coming back. My heart desires to hear, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” What about you? It’s time to be serious about our Father’s business.

Be blessed and encouraged.
