1 John 5:20 – “And we know that he Son of God has come and has given us understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life,”

Today I share my truth. It is God’s word. My truth according to the world or my emotions isn’t really truth because it is consistently changing. When my truth is experiential, it is unstable. When I base my actions on God’s word, I can rely on it because it remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. God’s word is a big part of my changing process. Having a standard helps to keep me grounded.

I thought about how many different flavors of truth there must be in our culture today. We have made our experiences a god. This statement may be hard to swallow for some. Our experiences are important as we grow and learn from them. However God’s word is the priority. It is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. The encouragement today is that there is something unchanging to hold on to: God’s word. Be blessed.
