I pray that you have had a marvelous Monday so far. It has been somewhat busy this morning. Time flies when you’re having fun. I have to stay balanced though.
I haven’t spoken about what’s going on politically because I honestly don’t know what to say. Today, a statement may be made, and tomorrow, it will be something different. Hence, the reason for my anchor. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 – “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” ESV
Not saying change is bad. We are being transformed daily. However, when your environment consistently changes at lightning speed, it is difficult to place your hope in anything. My hope is in God’s word and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. These days I remember that my home is not on earth.
My soul is eternal, and I care about that. I do not believe that being focused only on temporary things is our best effort. I must be heavenly minded as well. My posts are to edify and encourage others. Full disclosure: they encourage me as well. God’s word has been my refuge, my hope, my anchor, my deliverer, and whatever else.
Another aspect of this journey is the aging. Aging should give us a better perspective on life and provide an opportunity to invest in the next generation. Being a grandmother now, this factor is even more illuminated. It is interesting how perspective changes when we age.

My hope and prayer as I share God’s word is that you will get to know the Lord, develop your relationship, and share what makes life rewarding: Christ, community, and compassion.

Wonderful post, Sandra. We definitely need uplifting words, especially those from Jesus, our sustainer. Thank you, and God bless you.
