Happy Thursday! I hope your Thursday has been terrific so far. Today I share more thoughts on minimizing. I have been diving into the tiny house videos. I am getting more ideas on how to have more effective functionality. It has become clear to me that I don’t like clutter. It’s too distracting.

I like being organized. I am considering a couple of cabinets with sliding drawers or getting the bamboo looking organizers. One thing I plan to do is get rid of the heavy dressers and such but keep my organization in place. Easier to move because they may be renovating our building in the next couple of years.
I did start going through my clothing. There are some things I have not worn in years. This is one of my spring cleaning projects. I will keep some dressier outfits for that special occasion. However, since retiring, there are several outfits that I can donate. This will free up storage space and containers. Getting rid of things I don’t use any more or haven’t looked at in years.
I like my hard copy books. However, another spring cleaning project will be to donate the books that I don’t read any longer. Likely, the fiction mysteries and topics in which I am no longer interested since I have so many ebooks on my devices. Over the past year I have worked on acquiring more book shelves for the ones I plan to keep. It helps keep my books in a central location.

I don’t use cardboard boxes for storage much anymore. I have been systematically replacing them with the reusable plastic containers. So, when I donate, I keep my containers to reuse. Should I need to move, I already have containers. I really like having stackable containers for more effective storage.
I have been taking the thoughts of being a good steward to heart. In full disclosure, this culture of more has influenced me. I am practicing the prcoess of asking the question, “do I need this?”
Be blessed.

Excellent, Sandra. I need to do a little purging myself to clean up my storage area in the basement. I also like hard copy books, and I donate books once a year to my local library or place them in our community book box. I think staying organized and cleaning up clutter are very important.
