Happy Friday! How are you today? What did you feel when you first woke up? Energized, still tired, rested, thankful, or another adjective. Why do I ask? As we navigate change in our lives, we must know where we are to get where we want to go.

What are your core values? How important are they to you? How did you come to believe this? How are they revealed in your life? Does your behavior reflect your core beliefs? For example, if you believe in God, do you read your bible to learn more about God?
The questions are many and detailed. Evaluating where you are will help you determine what you want to change and how to do that. These questions compel you to answer them for yourself. The clarity needed is for you. You cannot adjust your directions until you know where you are. Hence, the importance of a compass.
If you believe in marriage, do you flirt? Understand how what you think influences behavior. Do you ponder why you do what you do? Answering that question should help you in your efforts to change. While there is no one size fits all, there are common threads.

Coaching is not about telling another individual what to do. Coaching is about equipping the person to answer the right questions about themselves to enrich their lives. God has given us talents and abilities to use on this journey (Matthew 25:14-28). What talents and abilities do you have that stand out? Reflection is a very useful tool. Look back over your life. Pray for clarity, understanding, and direction. The Holy Spirit is your guide and your help.
Be blessed.
