As I put pen to paper, I reference the chaos going on. From the attempted assassination of ex-President Trump to the burning of church property, we must look at our hearts. When violence is your go-to, it is evident that something is wrong. This country needs prayer. No matter who runs for president, becomes president, etc. someone will be unhappy. My praise is to God. He is in control and knows what is going on. Prayer is needed for His will on earth, not ours; regardless of whether we understand or not.
Today’s study of Scripture reminded me how much we need prayer for our hearts.

Proverbs 16:9 – “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” There are times when we do not understand what God is doing. However, God is sovereign. We are not. God has His purpose for us all. Some do not understand. Some do not agree. The question to ask yourself. Will you let God be God? Will you ask for peace in prayer when you don’t understand? Will you pray for the individuals being used by the enemy?
Don’t get caught up in why one person is doing one thing and another the opposite. Seek the Lord’s face. His wisdom. His protection. His direction. His peace.
Scriptures you can study below for more clarity on the heart of man are listed below.
Proverbs 19:21 – “There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.”

Jeremiah 10:23 – “O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.”
There are more Scriptures. Remember to read in context. Jeremiah chapter 10 talks about the nations who did not serve God.
God is sovereign regardless of what it looks like.
