Incomplete…Without Christ

Incomplete…I do believe that we are incomplete without Christ.

Without Christ we are incomplete. We are unfinished. This may be unpalatable for some but the truth be told, we don’t even know who we are without knowledge of Him. All the points that make us who we are incomplete, undone without Him. Sure, we have our earthly family that speaks to the biological origin but the spiritual origin is from God. He is the vine, we are the branches.

John 15:5 – ““Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

Incomplete without Him. As I have been between a rock and a hard place this week, I returned or should I say I kept my eyes focused on my Heavenly Father for the strength to see clear (even with the misstep). Without the knowledge that I can lay before Him, cast my burdens there, know that He sees me and loves me, I am incomplete. Thanks to the post from MilitantChristianBlog, I was reminded how much He loves me in spite of myself, weaknesses, strengths, faults and all. This post today said it all, a video of believers singing God Loves Us, truly ministered to me!

As I continue on this writing journey and sharing the truth of God’s Word with others, I know that He goes before me and is my rearguard. That is sometimes difficult to accept during the trying times, but I would like to be purified. Is this any easy thing to say? Of course not. However, in my heart of heart, I know that I am incomplete without Him and that the tests (the rock and the hard place) are to purify me for His glory.

Job 23:10-11 –  10 “But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. 11 For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside.”

He will complete His perfect work in me. I press toward the mark. Philippians 3:14 – “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

It has been a few days since my last post. I reiterate that this week has been a challenge. As I continue to re-evaluate and reorganize, I know that God is leading me and I believe that I am listening, complete in Him.
